This is something everyone agrees on, Paris’s air is increasingly polluted. According to a poll institute, Ifop, only 3% of French people think that pollution is decreasing. For everyone, except for Airparif !
You only have to carefully read the annual bulletin published by this agency charged by the government to control air pollution to see that it has practically disappeared from the capital, and this is true for the seven pollutants that hit the headlines.
Our reporter went to Sciences Po Paris, the primary institution of higher learning for French politicians, to compare these figures with the students' vision.
Our reporter first asked if the students were feeling the pollution in Paris. Almost everyone feels it and were worried about it:
"I think we all feel it", "especially in certain parts of the city where it is more difficult to breathe"
After these answers our reporter gave the figures from Airparif's air quality report, indicating an 80% reduction in fine particles in the air since 1950.
"It's super positive, I'm surprised we haven't heard of it ..."
"I think it's good not to mediate things that go against the ecology"
